Market 32 purchases former ShopRite Capital Region assets

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Price Chopper/Market 32 has finalized the purchase of the leases, store equipment, and fixtures of the five former ShopRite stores in the Capital Region. Several Capital Region ShopRites closed on Saturday, November 18, including locations in Albany, Colonie, Niskayuna, Slingerlands, and North Greenbush.While the company is still evaluating all its options, it plans to convert the Niskayuna and North Greenbush locations into Market 32s. The Slingerlands location is intended to be marketed for sublease, and plans for the Albany and Colonie locations are still being had. The new Market 32 stores would look to create more options for customers, provide workers with a chance to transfer to more convenient locations, and more. He plays at the Enterprise Center on Saturday, December 14, 2024. A man and a woman were hospitalized in serious condition after a massive fire erupted in the Central-Alameda neighborhood of Los Angeles Tuesday morning. The fire was reported around 3:25 a.m. and involved a "city-block-sized area" of structures in the 1500 block of East Vernon Avenue, according to an alert from the Los Angeles Fire Department. A man died after his car lost control and collided with two others, authorities said. According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred on Arrow Highway near Barranca Avenue in Covina at 9:27 p.m. Monday evening. A 60-year-old man from San Dimas driving a 2001 Audi A4 westbound on Arrow Highway at an undetermined speed lost control and traveled into the eastbound lanes, striking two oncoming vehicles – a Hyundai Accent and a Mazda 3, officials said. (BCN) -- Contra Costa County Sheriff-Coroner David Livingston will hold an inquest Friday into the death of a Pittsburg woman who was killed in Antioch when she crashed on an on-ramp to state Highway 4 while fleeing from CHP officers in February. The Sheriff's Office holds an inquest anytime law enforcement is involved in a fatal incident in Contra Costa County.
