Published Thu, 14 Nov 2024 20:40:53 GMT
Despite its recent history, delta-8 THC has gained a reputation as the “diet” version of standard delta-9 THC. Many anecdotal testimonies and surveys suggest that delta-8 extracts don’t have the same intensity as delta-9-rich marijuana strains. Sure, delta-8 will give you a “high” sensation, but it doesn’t seem to be as “in your face” as comparable delta-9 items. However, just because delta-8 seems to be “weaker” than delta-9 THC doesn’t mean it’s as tame as CBD oil. Delta-8 THC will land on the brain’s CB1 receptors, which means there’s a greater potential for side effects. Customers new to THC must understand that delta-8 could provoke many “weird” adverse reactions. Although some of these symptoms may feel scary, they are commonly reported by people who are extra sensitive to THC.Common Delta-8 Reactions To Be Prepared For1. SAN FRANCISCO — Steve Kerr and Mike Dunleavy Jr. spoke with reporters a week before Warriors training camp is set to open on Oct. 2. The Warriors are intent on proving the dynasty has plenty left in the tank. Here are some takeaways from their comments.Open roster spotsAround 40-to-50 players came through Chase Center for workouts throughout the summer, Dunleavy said. Some of those names include Dwight Howard, Juan Toscano-Anderson and Kent Bazemore. The Warriors will have some competition at training camp for two open roster spots and a two-way spot available. They may not use both roster spots and there is no urgent positional need on the roster — the team aims to add the best player available.“I think maybe we have already pursued and committed to that,” Dunleavy said. “Nice thing is I think we have good versatility and optionality throughout the roster, so nothing that we absolutely have to do right now. Trump offers venom and lies

The Republican Party will hold a presidential candidate debate at the Ronald Reagan library Wednesday. It’s a bad fit. The GOP’s modern idol is exactly the opposite of Reagan in personality and character. For upbeat Reagan, America was a “shining city on the hill.” For whining Donald Trump, it’s a waste bin for venom and lies.Reagan’s soaring rhetoric made people feel good about themselves. There was “always a bright dawn ahead” — “Morning in America.”Yes, maybe that was a tad naive and corny, but it brought a collective smile — and won over many Democrats.Trump spews hate — hate of immigrants and of Democrats. He demonizes his critics. He incites riots and insurrection.Reagan truly liked people. Trump merely uses them. But there’s a large hardcore of Republican voters who worship the guy, even if GOP leaders fear he’ll again drag the party down to defeat next year. He’s polling far ahead of his closest rival, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. As Times Washington reporter David Lauter recentl...Opinion: Why undergrounding power wires is the best option for PG&E

In a recent editorial, this newspaper urged the California Public Utilities Commission to “prioritize protecting Northern Californians over utility profits” as it considers our four-year plan to maintain and improve the energy system. We couldn’t agree more that the CPUC must make the safety of our customers its top priority.Unfortunately, neither of the CPUC’s counterproposals to our plan would do enough to keep our customers and communities safe. In fact, they gut our long-term undergrounding program that would permanently reduce wildfire risk and cut funding for some critical gas-safety programs. We have proposed moving 2,100 miles of powerlines underground over the next three years at an additional cost to the typical customer of about $3.40 a month.Undergrounding reduces the risk of ignitions in areas at the highest risk of wildfire by nearly 98%. There is no more effective solution to reducing the risk of wildfire ignition from electrical equipment. However, the CPUC...Expired COVID-19 test? How to check if it’s still good

Summer is almost over and has brought with its end a rise in COVID-19 cases as students return to school and adults return to the workplace. At-home COVID testing has also seen an uptick as we try to determine whether our symptoms are related to the common cold or COVID. Many of us still have an existing stockpile of at-home tests with expiration dates that have already come and gone, but don’t throw them away without first checking to see whether their expiration date has been extended by the Food and Drug Administration.Related ArticlesHealth | Big Mountain View office building at choice site faces loan default Health | Kaiser says new COVID-19 booster shots coming as early as this week Health | Biden has gotten the updated COVID-19 vaccine and the annual flu shot, the White House says Health | Beach bounce back?
