Nonprofit files lawsuit against Evanston over Northwestern's Ryan Field rebuild

EVANSTON, Ill. — The battle over Northwestern University's plans to build a new football stadium is now in a new phase. The nonprofit, The Most Livable City Association, filed a complaint Thursday against the city of Evanston's commercial rezoning of the new Ryan Field. Thirteen Evanston and Wilmette residents are joining the MCLA as plaintiffs. (WKBN) -- The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has announced the recall of pills that are used for male sexual enhancement. According to the FDA, Meta Herbal is voluntarily recalling 500 blister packs of Magnum XXL 9800 2000 mg per capsule. The FDA says the product, which is meant to be a dietary supplement, has been tainted with sildenafil, an ingredient known as a phosphodiesterase inhibitor (PDE-5), which is found in FDA-approved products used to treat erectile dysfunction. Products with sildenafil as an ingredient cannot be sold as dietary supplements, the FDA says."Magnum XXL 9800 capsules is an unapproved new drug for which safety and efficacy has not been established and, therefore, subject to recall," the FDA stated, adding that all blister packs of the affected capsules are subject to the recall.The FDA said undeclared sildenafil, when ingested, could interact with nitrates found in some prescription medicines (such as nitroglycerin) and could cause blood pressure to drop ...Mostly light rain through mid-afternoon

DULUTH, Minn. (AP) — Reed Ryan, a senior defensive lineman at the University of Minnesota Duluth, has died of a genetic heart condition, his family says.Ryan, who was 22, died Tuesday at a Duluth hospital. His obituary said he went into cardiac arrest one week earlier following a football team workout in the weight room. Until then, no one knew about the heart condition.His obituary said he was “doing what he loved” and had “lived life to the fullest in his short years.” His pursuits included running an online vintage store.Ryan graduated from Waunakee High School in 2019 and was the State of Wisconsin Defensive Player of the Year. ST. CHARLES COUNTY, Mo. - Three men face criminal charges in St. Charles County after they allegedly held a victim captive for several months, repeatedly beat him, and forced him into labor, according to court documents obtained Thursday by FOX 2. Prosecutors have charged Venkatesh R. Sattaru, Sravanvarma Penumetcha and Nikhil V. Penmatsa in connection with the investigation. Court documents state that Sattaru is a cousin of the victim, described as a 20-year-old Indian national.
