Jeff 'The Roastmaster General' Ross returns to Chicago CHICAGO — He's a friend of the WGN Morning News having done one of his trademark shows at the expense of our anchors a number of years ago in the studio.On Wednesday, the "Roastmaster General" was back on Channel 9 to talk about his upcoming show in the area. Jeff Ross will be hosting his one-man show "Take a Banana for the Ride" at Park West at 7 p.m. on Wednesday night as her performs for the audience for just a single night in Chicago. Before that, the comedian decided to stop by the WGN Morning News to discuss the show along with other aspects of his career with Larry Potash and Robin Baumgarten. Heavily armed man found dead at Colorado amusement park may have left message on wall, sheriff says DENVER (KDVR) — Police say the heavily armed man who was found dead inside a Colorado theme park over the weekend had likely planned to use those weapons in an attack on the community.The man, identified as 20-year-old Diego Barajas Medina, was found dead inside the Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park prior to the park's opening on Saturday morning, according to the Garfield County Sheriff's Office.A coroner later confirmed Medina's cause of death to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. (WFLA) — As we near the end of an active hurricane season, a new system in the Caribbean Sea could become the next tropical depression.The National Hurricane Center said the system could form toward the end of the week as it moves westward over the central and southwestern Caribbean Sea. First trauma recovery center in Texas opens in Austin AUSTIN (KXAN)— Setting out to provide a holistic approach to helping survivors of violence heal, the Harvest Trauma Recovery Center is officially open in Austin. It's the first center of its kind in Texas, according to the City of Austin and the African American Youth Harvest Foundation (AAYHF). This center was created in partnership between the two entities.
